Despatch Dames Feestee: Kiana Reynecke

'Moenie dat jou gestremdheid jou lewensvreugde steel nie!'
Despatch Dames Feestee Kaartjie

What a weekend! Despatch is a gorgeous little town! 480 people came to the function on Saturday morning – it was THE event of the year!

Vicki & Kiana

Despatch's event – where I was the guest speaker – was a fundraising for Kiana. She is a 1-year-old vibrant little lady born with Aniridia, a genetic eye condition. She has got no iris in both her eyes & she wears glasses to help her eyes focus and to protect against the sharp light. She's going to have an operation soon. Support her financially: Kiana Reynecke / FNB / 62350806273.

Meeting Kiana in Despatch

This adorable little girl is the reason why I was in Despatch this weekend. Various churches from all over this town - NG Kerk, AGS, PPK, Ned Gereformeerde, etc - joined together to make this event a success. It reminds me of Psalms 133: 'How good & how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ... for there the Lord commanded the blessing.' How I sometimes wish churches would look beyond each others' faults & shortcomings and simply support each other. It doesn't mater whether you're from a charismatic church, a Baptist church, etc. What matters is that your heart should be in the right place - full of love for one another. The Lord commanded His blessing upon this event on Saturday.

Now I'm exhausted! Despatch's event this past weekend was a great success. The crowd responded very positively to my message. It looks like I'll be back soon during the 3rd term - Despatch, Uitenhage, Jeffreys - they all want to invite me to speak @ their schools.
